IAS officials reshuffled in TN

In a major reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu Government transferred 22 IAS officials, posting Rajeev Ranjan as the Chairman of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), in place of Hans Raj Verma. Ranjan, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Sugar Corp is taking over as Chairman of TNEB at a time when the board was facing shortage of coal for its thermal power stations and resorted to power cuts again.

Chennai: In a major reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu Government transferred 22 IAS officials, posting Rajeev Ranjan as the Chairman of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), in place of Hans Raj Verma.

Ranjan, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation is taking over as Chairman of TNEB at a time when the board was facing shortage of coal for its thermal power stations and resorted to power cuts again.

Verma, who had taken over as Chairman at a time when the state was facing power crisis, has been transferred and posted as Chairman of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).

He will take over from Mohan Pyare who has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment Department.

The Government also removed D Sabitha as Education Secretary and Posted TS Sridhar as new Education Secretary. Sabitha has been transferred and posted as the head of SIPCOT.

D Vivekanandan, the State Human Rights Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as the Chairman and Managing Director of Arasu Cable Corporation, the release said.

In the current shuffle, Jasbir Singh Bajaj, Additional Resident Commissioner, Tamil Nadu House, New Delhi, will act as its Resident Commissioner vice B Anand whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation for appointment as its Chairman and Managing.

M Veera Shanmugha Moni, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation has been transferred as Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts vice K Manivasan.

Niranjan Mardi, Chairman and Managing Director, State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, is posted as Principal Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises department.

N Mathivanan, Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce, will be the new Director of Sugar.

M Vallalar, Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, is now Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Minerals Ltd vice PM Basheer Ahmed.

PWC Davidar, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation Ltd is posted as Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Ltd vice GA Rajkumar.

Sandeep Saxena is transferred and posted as Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary to Government, Agriculture Department, vice K Arulmozhi transferred and posted as Director of Economics and Statistics vice K Dhanavel holding additional charge.

K Manivasan, Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Agriculture vice Sandeep Saxena.

Shanthini Kapoor, Principal Secretary to Government, Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department, and Principal Secretary to Government (in charge), Social Reforms Department, is transferred to act as Principal Secretary to Government, Social Reforms Department.

TS Sridhar,Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises Department, is transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, School Education Department.

Vikram Kapur is reverted from the post of Chief Operating Officer, Everonn India Foundation and posted as Project Director, Post Tsunami Sustainable and Livelihood Programme.

Dayanand Kataria, Commissioner for Disciplinary Proceedings, Tiruchirappalli and Commissioner for Disciplinary Proceedings (in charge), Madurai, is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Survey and Settlement vice MP Nirmala holding additional charge.

Rajendra Ratnoo, Joint Secretary to Government, Department of Special Programme on Implementation, is transferred and posted as Director of Fisheries and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation.
